APRS (Association of Professional Recording Services) 

The Association of Professional Recording Services (APRS) promotes the highest standards of professionalism and quality within the audio industry.

 

BASCA (British Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors) 
BASCA exists to support and protect the artistic, professional, commercial and copyright interests of songwriters, lyricists and composers of all genres of music and to celebrate and encourage excellence in British music writing.

 

BPI (British Recorded Music Industry) 
The BPI is the representative voice of the UK recorded music business, funded by their members. Report a copyright infringement to the BPI's Anti-Piracy Unit.

 

BRIT School 
The BRIT School teaches students in BDC Media, dance, music, musical theatre, technical theatre atrs, theatre, visual arts and design and film and the digital arts.

 

Equity 
Equity is the UK trade union for professional performers and creative practitioners.

 

FAC (Featured Artists Coalition) 
The Featured Artists Coalition campaigns for the protection of UK performers' and musicians' rights.

 

Jazz Services 
Jazz Services is the UK's support organisation for jazz and owns and manages the Jazz Site and Jazz UK.

 

PRS for Music 
PRS for Music collects and distributes royalties on behalf of music writers, composers and publishers in the UK. If you play live music or recorded music in public, in most instances you will require a licence by law from PRS for Music. 

 

PRS Foundation

The PRS Foundation is the UK's leading funder of new music and talent development across all genres. Since 2000 they have awarded more than £26.5M to over 5750 new music projects.

 

MIA (Music Industries Association)
The trade body for the UK musical instrument industry.

 

MMF (Music Managers Forum) 
The MMF UK is the largest representative body of Artist Management in the world.

 

MPA (Music Publishers Association)
The Music Publishers Association exists to safeguard and promote the interests of music publishers and the writers signed to them.

 

MPG (Music Producers Guild)
The Music Producers Guild was conceived and is supported by producers and engineers who are passionate about all aspects of making and recording music.

 

MU (Musicians' Union) 
The Musicians' Union is a globally-respected organisation which represents over 30,000 musicians working in all sectors of the music business.

UK Creative Industries 
The trade body represents all creative industries in the UK, from music and art to digital design.

 

UK Music 
UK Music is an umbrella organisation representing the collective interests of the UK's commercial music industry, from artists, musicians, songwriters and composers, to major and independent record labels, managers, music publishers, studio producers and collecting societies and release new music.
